What is a live website test?
A live website test is a type of user research where participants visit a live or staged external website to share real-time feedback about their experience. This helps designers and researchers understand how participants approach tasks, spot usability issues, and gather suggestions for improvements. You may be asked to explore certain features or complete tasks, then provide feedback verbally or in writing.
Am I being recorded?
Yes, you are going to be recorded when completing these sessions. Your screen will always be recorded, and depending on the researcher’s needs, they may also request audio, camera, or both.
Select "Entire screen" when you are setting the screen share permissions.
What are the requirements?
These tests are only available on desktop devices using Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Website testing is not yet available for mobile devices.
Please ensure that you are in a quiet place. This way, if you need to provide your thoughts out loud, they can be heard clearly. Make sure that you have the time available to provide thoughtful responses to any questions you may be asked about your experience on the provided website.
