We want to ensure that the tests you receive make it possible for you to give thoughtful and detailed responses, and that UserCrowd remains a safe and inclusive place to provide feedback. Tests should have clear instructions, be in a language that you have indicated on your profile, not contain any offensive content, and not collect any of your personally identifiable data.
Occasionally though, you may receive a test that either breaches our creator guidelines or contains an error that makes it difficult for you to provide helpful answers. We ask for your help in flagging these tests so that we can review them and potentially prevent more panelists from receiving them.
What should you report?
Unclear instructions or errors in test setup—for example, if you are presented with a question about a design that isn't shown, the test creator may have forgotten to upload an image before sending.
Incorrect language—the language of the test should match a language that you have indicated in your UserCrowd profile.
Inappropriate or offensive content—some products or designs may contain profanity in the title which is okay in most cases, but it is not okay for the test to contain content that appears derogatory, discriminatory, pornographic, or otherwise Not Safe for Work.
Tests that ask for your personal information—your full name, email address, phone number, etc.
Tests that direct you to visit an external website or mobile app outside of the UserCrowd interface—if you spend too much time away from the test in order to explore another website or app, the test may end prematurely and you won't be able to submit your response. Because this can create a poor test-taking experience, we have asked customers to refrain from requiring panelists to review their app separately before answering questions.
How to report a test
When taking a test, you will see an icon with an exclamation mark in the top right corner of the screen. Click that to report the test, then select the reason you are reporting:
It's important that you report the test using this feature and skip the test rather than describing the problem as part of your response. We can't compensate you for responses that are used to report issues with tests.
